Maisto

Maisto is a company that makes die cast models of cars, motorbikes and aircaft.

Like Bburago, Maisto is owned by the May Cheong Group from Hong Kong.

Maisto produce literally hundreds of model kits in a range of scales. Currently I have 35 cars and 10 motorbikes.  I am very happy that they make so many models as I can keep making them. They make all kinds of car kits from old classics up to the lastest sports cars.

The next car I would like to buy is a Nissan G-TR (2009)

Bburago

Bburago is an Italian model car manufacturer that has been producing die cast model kits since 1976. Bburago produce models in both 1:24 and 1:18 scales with the 1:18 scale being aimed mainly at collectors.

In 2005 the company went out of business due to competition from Asian manufacturers who could produce models at cheaper prices.  In 2007 Bburago was relaunched having been bought by the May Cheong group who, funnily enough, own the  Maisto brand that were one of the companies that pushed Bburago out of the market.
